Designing with Solar Power

The PVPS book 'Designing with Solar Power' encapsulates five years of work by over thirty international experts drawn from the fields of research, development and design, and will greatly assist in spreading the knowledge of BIPV. It is aimed to encourage governments and agencies to support its deployment and raise confidence in its use by architects, engineers, environmentalists, planners and their clients.

The book contains chapters on:

  • Building design and environmental concepts, by Steven Strong and David Lloyd-Jones
  • Technologies and integration concepts, by Tjerk Reijenga
  • Case studies from various countries
  • Non building structures, by Mats Andersson and Carl Michael
  • Potential tools and evaluation criteria, by Peter Lund
  • Electrical concepts, reliability and standards, by Per Drewes, Hermann Laukamp and Donna Munro
  • Non-technical barriers and markets, by Reinhard Haas and Patrina Eiffert.

The full colour book together with accompanying CD-ROM can be ordered directly from the publisher, Images Publishing in Australia, for 92.00 AUD inc. p&p (approximately 35 GBP). For more information about the book, together with a fax-back order form, please download the flyer (200kB pdf file.)

Alternatively further enquiries from interested parties in the UK can be directed to Rod Hacker.
